They need to tear it down and build a smaller version similar to what they are currently doing with their football stadium since nobody shows up. Hell, it is free admission to the women’s bball games and they can’t get anybody to show. Cajuns do not support Cajun athletics.

it’s not about the sport, it’s about the hype, or lack of hype.

Don't worry. Nobody actually thinks it's a flagship of anything.

Wonder if that is common for non Top 25 or other Sunbelt teams. Outside of LSU, South Carolina, Iowa, or UCONN would you go to a women’s game?

The renovation money was used to buy all new seats. They went from Orange to black. Also added some lighting and did some concession area upgrades.

I was there last year for Megadeth. It's still a nicer building than Lakefront Arena or the Centroplex

Lakefront Arena > Cajun Dome

But that’s not saying much

Hi, Cajun alum here.

We don't care about being flagship.
We understand we will never be LSU.

What's funny is everytime we stumble upon some success, the absolute disgust from LSU fans (most of whom never attended).

At least we don't have to worry about getting robbed/shot etc. like yall do in that hell hole known as Baton Rouge.

Then why make condescending comments about BR when you are commenting on the "disgust" of LSU fans?

Statistics online show Lafayette has some above average crime:

quote:

With a crime rate of 49 per one thousand residents, Lafayette has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes

What’s the point you’re trying to make if it can’t be done without belittling another university?

That is really sad. UNO was a very good "commuter school." I know a lot of people who went to UNO because they had few other options financially or due to family circumstances and ended up making great lives for themselves.

With a ~50% reduction in the student body, is the campus pretty empty? Also, I wonder if moving UNO from LSU system to UL system was a net-negative for the University.
