Growing up hart was my fav wrestler.
Knowing the business now, he was pretty arrogant telling Vince he wanted to go out on top.
A lot of wrestlers lost respect for him.

Lawler is a pedophile. I know a woman who lost her virginity to him when she was 15 and he was 29

Fun fact...

Rick Rude purposely showed up on Monday Night Nitro without any consent (he had a strange contract...as long as he was not wrestling in the ring at that time because of his injury, he could do whatever he wanted) because of Vince fricking Hitman. Vince was more furious over that than anything.

Coincidentally, WCW and TBS started their run of owning Vince.

Some of the stories I have heard wrestlers tell that went on backstage between them was epic. Hart apparently beat the crap out of him in a bathroom

They got into a scuffle in June 97. Bret just pulled out a hunk of his hair (which Jim Cornette still has).

What? That started summer 96. What you referred to was November 97.

The ratings beating did not reach its height until 1997.

This is in the book about Rude and Henning. And many of the other Minnesota wrestlers like Hawk and Animal and the Warlord.

Rude and Hart were very good friends. Rude called Bischoff at WCW and told him he had to get back at Vince over the Montreal incident.

Another fun fact...

Had David Von Erich never died in Japan, Fritz and Ted Turner were set to make a Dallas/Atlanta national market and a new "Superstation" that would go international. Fritz was set, until his eldest died. He said his boys could wrestle wherever they wanted in America, but no more international trips. Fritz told his crew (Gary Hart, David Manning, Akbar etc) to not sign the deal. Could have been billions and Vince would have never been able to compete with what was a Hugely syndicated market in Dallas/Ft Worth and a national television phenom in NWA (WCW).

Just imagine WCCW and WCW combining into one giant, where all talent was homestead (stayed put). Imagine Rock N Roll Express, the Von Erichs, the Horesemen, the FreeBirds, etc in one "territory". Would have been unbeatable and only Hogan and Andre could have somehow eaten at the same table with it. Not to mention all of the Memphis talent that went to WWF would have jumped to come back.
