Also, beaches are way overrated. I prefer pools just off the beach. All the benefits with none of the negatives (sand, salt, man-eating sharks, etc...)

I love the beach. Relax, drink beer, if you get too hot jump in the water, throw a football or frisby around, listen to some tunes...what's not to like?
Bacon and I have a love-hate relationship. I love how it tastes but it's a bit too greasy for regular consumption.

And the only thing I don't like about the beach is having to lather on the sunscreen. My pale arse gets burned with the quickness (not a ginger or redhead, just too much German and Irish)

The freedom of the sea calls to me, waves singing a siren song as they have for a million restless men before. Adventure, peril, the endless possibilities of foreign shores. Sand ground down from mountains tall into nothing more than tiny grains...the power of the ages exhibited so effortlessly.
If you can't appreciate the beauty in that...I don't know what to say.
