The gist of OP's story is that on the flop, one guy had 4 nines, one guy had a full house with 10s over 9s, and the third guy had an inside straight draw. The 9s were dominating.
never mind, i said something because i read it wrong so i deleted it

Can I translate for you?
3 guys in.
One has King and Queen suited on diamonds.
Next guy has 10s off suit hearts and spades.
Third guy has two 9s with suits unknown via OP.
Flop comes 10 clubs, 9 clubs and 9 diamonds.
At this point the first guy has enough flush/straight/straight flush draws to stay in.
Second guy has three tens.
Third guy has made 4 of a kind on the flop and is just gonna try and get guys in without flopping his dick around too much.
The turn is a jack of diamonds which puts the first guy on all sorts of stuff to chase including flushes, straight flushes, etc so he is gonna stay for the river.
It doesn’t help the guys with three 10s or four 9s because they both are nice with the guy with four 9s being as hard as a pool cue that he has gotten to the river with a seemingly unbeatable hand and two guys that either think they have the hand or are on strong draws.
The ten of diamonds shows on the river giving the first guy a straight flush and the guy sitting on three tens his four 10s meaning the guy that flopped four 9s was caught from behind.
ETA: the guy with the tens made a boat on the flop.

well the only problem with that made up story is its frickin impossible unless the guy with two 10's gets to borrow a 9 from the other player, otherwise he only has 10's and 9's and not a full house
Huh?
He's holding two 10s. The flop is two 9s and a 10. How is that not a full house?

After reading that I need a shower to wash off the cigarette smoke, stale bourbon and broken dreams.

Only an $18,000 bad beat jackpot. I once got over $7k as a table share at one of the boats in BTR.

There is no way in hell the KdQd stays in the pot with that flop and quad 9s up against FH.
Nobody is staying in that pot for a chance at an inside straight. The betting after the flop must have been stupid low.

The other 2 dudes were obviously slow playing so the other guy prob did stay in with his draw

I’m guessing that the guy that flopped four nines was limping on the next bet.
The KQ player was not in a position to chase until that Jd came on the turn.

I’m not a big poker player but the psychology of it has always fascinated me.
Think about it: The guy flopped four 9s which was pretty much unbeatable because there is only one 10 on the flop. The only way he loses is for the other guy to have pocket 10s and also catch the fourth on the turn or river. He wins that showdown 99/100 times.
He limps in after the flop and let’s the KQ guy stay in when that guy would have folded on any strong bet before he saw that jack. The guy that had the boat on the flop would have probably called. He could have gone in on another strong bet after the turn and made the guy insecure about his boat with two 9s on the table. He might have folded knowing there was only one card left that could get him over four 9s.

yeah but if you are sitting on 4 of a kind in a three hand game the last thing you want to do is bully anyone off the hand. There’s so little chance of getting beat and a high chance of winning a baby pot

That was a Crazy Game of Poker

I’m assuming 9999 slow played the flop (I would have). Who pushed their stack first and when? I’m guessing KQ on the turn?
Posted on 8/27/18 at 7:16 pm to cgrand
That is what I mean. It’s kinda hard to figure out who messed up without knowing the betting position but after the flop the guy with four 9’s didn’t help himself letting the KQ guy get a cheap look at the turn.
