I’m assuming 9999 slow played the flop (I would have). Who pushed their stack first and when? I’m guessing KQ on the turn?
Maybe. He had a lot more draws than the guy with the boat in his mind.

We don’t even know if four 9’s checked to the guy with the boat.

There is no way in hell the KdQd stays in the pot with that flop and quad 9s up against FH.
Nobody is staying in that pot for a chance at an inside straight. The betting after the flop must have been stupid low.
you must play in some unprofitable games and/or get bluffed a metric frick ton

but after the flop the guy with four 9’s didn’t help himself letting the KQ guy get a cheap look at the turn.
no doubt
he had his 9’s so early though there’s not much you can do.
swing his dick and they both fold...although had he come strong before the turn maybe the 10’s stay in with him. No way to know and this is the very definition of a bad beat
9999 out of 1000 players do everything they can to keep the other hands in

yeah 99 had that board crushed. you want a gutshot or flush draw to hit. your only other hope is that you're in v TT (and the turn kills that)

I know Levitsky vs. Marshall too.
FWIW Carlsen beat Naka a couple of hours ago in a very correctly played R+P ending. For awhile I thought Naka might hold with his Rc1 but it didn't work out.

You lied.

Me and my buddy were in a cash game and went head to head on one hand and ended up being a bad beat hand. However, we missed the qualifying time by two minutes. Was a 15K pot.
