Just roll right over for anything the kooks want.

In a few years everybody will be required to suck one dick a year so they can relate.

as if that's what the tigers still represent. Give me a break. And it's hard to be black at LSU? In what universe is that statement true

I'm agnostic on the memorials and confederate flag and all that stuff, but I think they'll find this a bit too much to chew if they start heading down this direction.

There is a lot of brand value tied up in school nicknames and mascots. I don't think universities will stand by and lose millions of dollars because some people have their jimmies rustled. Reb-bear was probably as far as anyone will ever go, and that hasn't gone over very well.

It struck me that purple and gold looked Tigerish enough

That's not what I always heard.

I always heard that Coates had chosen the Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold and green. He sent some guys into town to buy ribbons of those colors for the football players to wear, but the stores were out of green. Hence, purple and gold.

The story was sent to me on Facebook messenger. It's a petition on change.org. No idea why it would not let me copy the link.

They were just as violent to the black slaves they owned

I always see this statement when issues of the civil war and confederacy are discussed by the media and AA advocate groups. Ironically, only 3% of people in the south were slave owners. How can so many people have abused their slaves if so few of the people actually owned them?

While I agree in principle, have you driven through Lee Circle recently?

It is incredibly insulting for any African American to have to attend to a school

Ahhh there's the problem. These people are under the impression that they are being forced to receive an education at LSU. Maybe if they knew that SU would accept them, they would've gone there instead of dealing with all the oppression at LSU

They are at least still called the rebels. The black bear is only used as the mascot on the sidelines. They don't really use it as on official symbol like LSU with the tiger eye and head logos.

These people are addicted to the thrill of forcing people to bow to their PC cult. They want to bully institutions, nothing more.
