The Advocate mobile app is pure garbage...

Have we discussed the absolutely worthless Advocate mobile app?? The Advocate is usually where I have looked for my local news. Their app has made this so damn frustrating that it makes my blood pressure rise. It’s stable and pretty bug free, but it’s damn near impossible to view the content of the article because of the constant pop up ads. You can’t navigate to a different page without viewing a ad. The articles are split up with an ad every damn paragraph. As if this wasn’t enough, in the last month or so my screen changes to an ad requesting to sign up for instant alerts for weather, emergencies; etc. I’ve declined the alert service time and time again but it continues to happen. It’s so bad that I’ll click off and not even scroll down and the ad will pop back up without even being touched. I completely understand that the newspaper/app is driven by ad revenue but it’s made its the app not worth the headache. I’m sure they have have received complaints for this. We know their reporters read this site so maybe our cries will be heard.
