I like Kip. He's great. None of the black candidates are anything like him, though. If this city wants a fighting chance to survive another couple decades, a white guy has to get in there because everyone else will just turn this city into BLM HQ.

If Delgado wins, that city will go down in flames.

Why? What happened to Alton Sterling still happened. Those cops dying changes what? For whom ?

As far as we know, he was going for his gun when the officers shot him.

But we don't know. And giving his position in the video. No way he could of harmed those officers.

Yeah, a felon with a gun was still killed because he was resisting arrest and was possibly going for the gun he shouldn't have been carrying. The cops dying brings to light the fact that the arbitrary protesting, the AstroTurfing to rally the democrat base, the purposeful creation of racial tension -- has fricking conseqences. The cause being arbitrary protests, the effect being causing a psycho to think he has to do something about Alton Sterling being killed by killing police officers to bring "justice" to the "oppressed" black community. That's what changes.

Given his position in the video? He could have had his hand next to his pocked with his gun in it. He was tased twice and still didn't comply. He wouldn't have been in the position is was had he just complied as the officers asked him to. Instead, he had to act like an a-hole and fight with the cops. Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

This mayoral race is timed perfectly for me. I can watch who wins, what they do their first couple months, graduate, and decide if I need et the hell outta dodge.

That being said though if Marcelle wins South BR will knee jerk at her ideas, resulting in St. George being formed, and thus the Jackson-ication of BR begins.

What in the hell is there to celebrate? Seriously the guy was a career criminal and child rapist. I swear, large portions of the black community are literally dumb as a box of rocks.

The future for them is bleak, no matter what government and loving outsiders do to try to help.

The last white mayor of Baton Rouge was a fricking moron who couldn't pour piss out of a boot, the one before him was a crack addict.

How old are you?

Bad advice considering that's how the late Mr. Sterling met his untimely demise.

You will need to move out of the entire parish bc the office is mayor/president of the city/parish.

frick Triple S, frick Sandra Sterling, frick Alton Sterling and frick all the ignorant people who thinks justice needs to be served in favor of Alton Sterling. I think to some degree, it was all the attention BR was getting because of that fat milk dud looking shite head Alton Sterling, that caused Gavin Long to come down here and do what he did.

Because people were out in Dallas protesting Sterling and that other dude.. Resulted in police being ambushed and killed.

The best thing that happened to the owner of Triple S is Sterling getting killed, he probably gets so much business now from all the protesting, etc, but frick them all.

The worst part, is that the majority will be White SJW's.

What type of background does the stereotypical SJW have? Are they kids from privileged families who think they have to fight for "those who are not treated fair in society"?

They are this generation's version of hippies, but I am just curious as to what makes them so passionate about BLM..

So what you are saying is that they should wait until he is actually in position to actually hurt/kill them before they can shoot?

You should really think about that.

If anyone but a white guy becomes mayor I'm bailing on this city. frick north Baton Rouge. Until they decide to contribute to this community I hope they lay around in filth all day. I'll be taking my money elsewhere and within a decade, BR will be just another southern black pile of shite.

You are an idiot. You make some stupid comments, but do you think the fact Kip Holden is black is the reason all of this shite has gone on? No.

I know there are people who don't like him (no elected office will ever have 100% of the support from the people they represent) and like everyone else, he isn't perfect, but Simpson and the mayor before him (I am drawing a blank) were white and absolutely horrible.

Everything that is going on can easily be looked at as a race thing. It is easy for someone to say "this is whites vs blacks", but just look past that for a little while. Its people (like Fat Gary) who gains his "power" from the poor & uneducated.

There are blacks who hate people like fat Gary, because he makes himself come off as someone who is the "voice of blacks". I know some blacks who hate, I mean absolutely can not tolerate Jesse Jackson. Ive heard them say worse things about him than I ever heard a white person say.

Here is a black guy, a military veteran and firearms instructor, explaining why the shooting of Sterling was justified. Ive seen the video, he starts off saying something like "when I first heard the story I thought it was police shooting another black man, but then I watched the video" LINK

Why isn't this guy making news or being "interviewed" by news stations? Maybe... just maybe.. if people listen to his assessment it might make a few people realize their protest is absolutely bullshite, but by making these blanket statements, you are saying the same shite people like fat Gary are injecting to his "followers".

Second best thing. The best thing that ever happened to him is living his pitiful life in the USA instead of Yemen or whatever third world shithole his people are from.

Why hasn't there been a bigger push for the guy that released the original footage of the Sterling shooting to release more video of what lead up to it?

I'd be surprised if he didn't have more and selectively released the part after the previous resisting/tasing to make it look "as bad as possible". Even though it still seemed to show enough to be justified to a reasonable mind...

I am not one to yell "its the media's fault", but the media can sure be more responsible when reporting these "police shootings of black men" cases. Someone in the media needs to break this shite down. Police we called out to where Sterling was because of reports of a man with a gun, Sterling was illegally selling CDs, Sterling resisted arrest even after being tased twice, When police finally got Sterling down (then zoom in on his arm) he was reaching for his pocket, which is the pocket he had a gun in, one officer yells "he has a gun", that's when the other police officer shot him. I just can't process why people are protesting that.

I know there are a lot of people who don't think the shooting was justified, blah blah blah, but all of these protest are doing nothing but causing problems.

Not one media outlet made the disclaimer that there was no video of the events that led up to the shooting of the MN man. They ran with it as the sole and complete piece of evidence to continue to keep the story in the news. Sorry but the media is probably at least 50% responsible for the deaths of those 8 police officers.
