A recent study has found that older adults who regularly nap for more than an hour a day had a 40% higher risk of developing Alzheimer's disease.

didn’t realize you were a female

I can doze off after a 6 pack of 16s but a 30 min power nap is all a red blooded American male needs

Lots of overthinking for that. I don’t know how long my nap will last. It could be 30 minutes. It could be 90 minutes. Who knows? I don’t and my point still fully stands

This, if you can get a short 15-20 minute nap that stops just short of REM sleep you’ll be good for the rest of the day

If you get in bed and under the covers that's going to sleep. If you stay on top of the covers - that's a nap

In Vietnam we perfected the art of the two-minute map.

Even in the cockpit I have developed a way to take a one eye closed nap that can recharge the batteries a bit

I can't nap during the day on an average day. On the weekends I might take a nap, but I will just drift off watching or reading something.

If I take a nap that is more than 30-45 mins I feel tired for the rest of the day.

IMO a good healthy nap should be no more than an hour and ideally about 20-30 minutes. For me anyway. Much longer and I’ll feel like a zombie. Unless I’m kinda sick or real hungover, then it’s however long.

There was a guy at work that would take a little nap at his desk after lunch... One day he didn't wake up.. it wasn't until after 5 when someone noticed.
