Rummaging through the university of Alabama's homecoming queens over the past half century plus, it's largely disappointing, there are a few gems.
But most of you know this one from 1975

Becky White is from Mer Rouge, in Morehouse Parish. Her dad was Warren White, a farmer.

To be fair, she's probably going to be a neonatal neurosurgeon or some such.

The premise, and title of the thread is all wrong. Becky White was Homecoming queen on 10/17/70.

LSU beat Kentucky 14-7.

1980 HC queen was the best ever, and 1970 was a smoke show.

Pretty sure LSU lost to Auburn the year Becky was homecoming queen in 1969

Eta look at the picture in the OP. The school year is 1969-1970. So this game would have played in 1969

I see that on one graph. Here is the one I pulled 1970 from.

1969...back when they’d put the Homecoming Queen in a carriage and parade her around the stadium, even if they had to use a cattle prod to get her in the carriage. Stupid PETA ruined everything.

I thought she was from Oak Ridge but we are talking semantics between the 2 metropolis of Oak Ridge and Mer Rouge.

Also, from the article telling about her dating Tommy Casanova.

quote:

Rebecca Williams, the former 1970 LSU homecoming queen and then "Becky White" remembers a vastly different road she traveled to become homecoming queen.
