Thanksgiving Sweet Potato Casserole

with or without pecans....
There's always those 2 or 3 unhappy family members that want the opposite of everyone else. So that leads to doing one of those weird half and half dishes.
I am pro pecans. Adds texture. Without it I feel like I'm eating baby food.

This won't help but I am allergic to pecans and HATE sweet potato casserole. Inevitably someone ends up being super nice and making me my own portion without pecans.... then I either have to be a dick and not touch or eat something that make gag....God I wish people were less considerate

Agreed on the marshmallows. If you want that trash bring it yourself with your own torch to melt them. Aint nobody got time for that.

Easy fix, take a bite, vomit on the table. Then announce to everyone that you forgot how much you hated sweet potato casserole and no one will ever make it for you again.

I used to say, "Thank you so much, but I really don't like sweet potato...really appriciate it though...maybe you can top mine with pecans too??" This is usually followed with..BUT you haven't had MIINE!!

I made the switch to brown sugar and pecans. Way more flavor. I can't get enough of it.

My mom basically has a huge praline on top of ours. It is dessert before dessert.

I love a sweet potato casserole..I don't mind the marshmallow and pecans.. I do make a crust of a mixture of butter, flour, brown sugar and pecans. Now that is the real deal..
