Christmas is the star QB older child who will inherit everything and Halloween is the fun youngest child who parties.

This holiday has religious roots also. It really seems like more of a footnote now each year with even that stupid ‘Black Friday’ hype overshadowing it. Perhaps intentionally due to its religious history.

Thanksgiving to me is like the big tailgate party leading up to the big game which is Christmas.

Thanksgiving is my favorite. Football, booze, and no pressure to buy people stuff

Easter is the forgetter bastard child in my mind.

Halloween is great in college, no doubt.

Not in my household. Thanksgiving is top 3 with Christmas and Mardi Gras.

Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday. All the family, food, reflection, and peace without the stress of presents. I do love Christmas - but I hate the fact that Thanksgiving is nothing more than a day off work that people use to decorate for Christmas, and make plans for Black Friday shopping.

Do grown adults get 1-2 days off work for halloween? Do kids get an entire week off school for halloween? Are you sometimes subjected to take part in all the haloween festivities on a weeknight then go to work the next day? Does halloween have all the dank food that thanksgiving has, plus football on a weekday morning?

I don't think so.

I’m the oldest child in my family and my birthday is on thanksgiving day this year.

What does that mean?

I agree that it has maintained it’s ‘religious’ theme, probably due to its name, but technically it’s the only one of the big holidays you mentioned that was not specifically formed as a Christian(Catholic) holiday.

Christmas, Easter, and even Halloween (All Hallow’s Eve) are the actual religious holidays, but have been overtaken by the secular folks to varying degrees.

, no.

There isn't much of a Thanksgiving season so to speak, but as for the day itself, it's huge.

You mean the day that the evil white man stole the Indigenous peoples' land?

I refuse to let Thanksgiving be forgotten in my house.

Strict no Christmas decoration rule until after it is over.

Fall weather, great food, great football, etc. Thanksgiving rules.

Thanksgiving is tGOAT holiday.

No pressure. No presents. Minimal Commercialism. No religious overtones.

Just a time to come together and celebrate family and friends and relax for a couple days. I love it.

Thanksgiving is my personal favorite, and as an adult it should be. Christmas is gaining though since my daughter now fully understands it.
