I went to NYC for the Macy's parade in 2003 and really enjoyed it. It's miles long so you can park and stand anywhere really. The floats are huge and it looks really cool seeing them in the narrow passages between giant skyscrapers.

I have been. The balloons are much smaller in person.

The whole thing is just a big 4 hour ad

Places that don't have Mardi Gras don't know what real parades are.

I cannot understand why anyone would watch or attend this to see a giant inflatable Pikachu.

Anybody here know when they will be on? Is there a lineup somewhere?

Has the parade been this "ad placement" heavy in past years?
