A few days ago, I posted about my recurring headaches and some of you said "see the doc" so I did (and for the record I hate going to the doctor and rarely do, which wasn't wise).

Went in this morning. My doctor sends me to an ophthamologist who brings another in because my optic nerve is all blurred and "choked." Having head MRI Tuesday. Could be serious like a brain tumor, so I appreciate everyone's advice to get to the doctor.

If its all good, I'll report back. If not, I'll be taking care of stuff. My wife and sons are all freaked out, but I'm just staying cool hoping for the best.

Thanks again, and to hell with Harvard for screwing up my bracket.

Seems like you might have more important things to worry about...

I do, but it is what it is and I'll know more on Tuesday. It could be pseudotumor cerebri which is easy to deal with. No point getting wound up until you know and at this point I have no control one way or the other.

I was having headaches everyday...People recommended things as crazy as botox to dr to chiropractor,etc..

I don't believe in chiropractic care but know one very well and decided to try it...I'll be darn if my headaches have disappeared since i've started going to him...It's definitely changed my perspective a little.

I'm an ophthalmologist, so I can relate to what you're going through. Good luck with everything. Swollen optic nerves associated with headaches could definitely be pseudotumor, but you have to rule out everything else first; so you're definitely getting the right work up starting with the MRI. Again, good luck...prayers coming your way.

These guys definitely get a bad rap. I had one even fix my asthma. It was a mild case but he did something to my diaphragm and now I have no issues.

I wished he'd been around when I was younger. Or if my folks knew what a chiropractor was. I told them I was going to one about my breathing and they damn near had an intervention. Turns out they thought chiropractors gave vasectomies. They're not the brightest.

I must admit that I gave them one as well...4 weeks now with no headaches after I was having them every single fricking day has changed my view on it.

This isn't going to start the optometrist surgery debate again is it?

You mean optometrist vs. ophthalmologist? I don't know, but it sounds like it has potential.

Wow I said tumor in the other thread just half way joking. Sorry to hear that man.

I'm glad you went and got it checked out though, I wish you the best of luck.
