They recently released the OSAR which looks real nice with their maraglo instead of tritium.

Thanks baw.

Hopefully the next time I'm in the hospital it's to get my own nuts cut off. I'm done after this one.

It is an easily overlooked watch that wears like a dream. I just wish it wasn't such a PITA to switch straps/bracelet. It makes a modern Rolex seem positively easy. I want to take a strap with those two locating pins and shove it sideways into Thierry Stern's earhole.

The 5167 is on a short list of watches for my dreaded one watch list.

Nice 3940! I don't have the where with all to manage the care and feeding of a PC. I would let it die and sit for months and screw it up setting it and have to send it to Geneve to get sorted.

Yeah, I get lazy with it as well. Technically, this is a 3941 though.

Ah, didn't look close enough at the subdials but I don't know the differences between those references and their dial series well anyway.

Oh man that's nice. Mines definitely dimmer than it used to be. I'm starting to prefer lume to tritium

Well, in fairness, the 3941 is identical to the 3940. It was made alongside the 3940, the only difference is the 3941 had a display back and the 3940, at the time, had a closed case back.. Patek made about 25 3941 with first and second series dials and ultimately canceled the reference and the standard 3940 came with a display case back and closed caseback.

Been on a bit of a Seiko kick as of late. Today I’m wearing my Arnie Pepsi, SNJ027. This is my favorite of the Arnie series.

Basically forgot it was Friday all day.

Omega SM300 Heritage Seamaster ( insert a 14 digit seemingly random reference number here).

I was looking at this Railmaster recently. Looks like the life of this model is short, released in 2017 and supposedly discontinued. Any of you handled one? Thoughts? Specs are excellent.

Neglecting the thread...It's been an awful week for me fellas. Recovering from Knee surgery Tuesday, which honestly hasn't been nearly as bad as I expected, but woven in that difficulty is that my 9 yo German Shepherd was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma this week. Home with me presumably living out his days eating scrambled eggs and chicken for every meal. Rough time and I'm his person, so not only bad to see him sick, its bad for him to see me not 100%.

Had a bit of a welcome distraction of acquiring a 36 mm Explorer for my brother this week and I have mine on right now.

Bonus pick of my good boi making sure FedEx man delivering next door doesn't murder us. His mom doesn't know he occasionally climbs on the furniture.

Great watch, the 8806 is a solid movement (METAS cert) and the only nit to pick is it is a little small for the case but irrelevant since it is a closed case back. You can pick those up new and used for great prices.

It is a fairly close homage of the Omega 2914 from the late 50's. It was built just like the Rolex Milgauss as a watch for scientists in labs with magnetism. The OG had a soft iron Faraday cage*.

They don't have the visual pop of the Aqua Terra or Rolex OP but they are very cool to my eye. One other thing to note is the 40mm is a bit large for some especially given it is a homage to a vintage watch. Despite knowing it was 40mm it still struck me as large the first time I saw one probably because of the expectation of being vintage inspired. I like it but I think the Aqua Terra is a much better GADA watch for most people but that may not be what you are looking for.

* soft iron cores are NOT Faraday cages but it is used often enough in the watch world to have become a semi-accepted term of art

I hope you get your wheel back to 100%, do that PT.

Hate to hear it about your boy but understand about being allowed to break the rules. We have an older Basset that for about the last year no longer has rules. The rest of the herd will often look at me with the "do you see that?" look on their face.
