Not good ig your a whataburger fan
Investment firms don't buy to keep, they buy to make money quickly off it and usually will leave it in terrible shape than before they bought it.
They are going to over expand and then sell and get out, while brand suffers

The reality is Whataburger and In-N-Out both have burgers I like. That said I have never dreamed about a Whataburger. I have spent more time craving a Double Double Animal Style than any other fast food. Although it doesn't mean much the In-N-Out faithful seem to dwarf the Whataburger lovers when it comes to actually being there. I have never been to a Whataburger with lines of cars down the block running two lanes with the inside and outside tables fully packed and every parking space full and people parking on the grass. There are several In-N-Outs I go to when I am in California that are like this every Friday and Saturday evening.
Plus while I may be one of the few people that do, I like the In-N-Out fries. Possibly because they are different but I do like the Whataburger onion rings.

I like whataburger but the onions they use are incredibly overpowering. I could wash my hands for an hour and they'd still smell like onions after eating there
