I played in a slow pitch tournament Saturday. Had games from 11-4. I got absolutely roasted by sun. It doesn't feel cooler lol. I then played games on Sunday. Roasting in the sun when already sunburnt sucks. It gives me a headache really fast. I had to spend offensive inning sitting with the crowd to avoid sun.

Damn you.

I was just thinking yesterday what a “mild” summer we’ve had without days over 100° and actually still getting rain through July. But I didn’t post it bc I didn’t want the jinx. I’m going to blame you when the next 4 weeks are 100°+ with no wind or rain.

This is simply false. My mother n law lives in Vernon Texas and it was 103 just a few days ago.

We’re supposed to get our first 100 degree day this week in Dallas. Though it is 98 today, so still hot AF

I get started at 6 AM Friday - Sunday and knock off between 12 and 1....and I will be soaking wet and worn out.
Yeah, you don't acclimate working at your leisure 6 hours/day, 3 days/week from sun up to lunch. People don't realize how well the human body will acclimate to heat, but it has to be in it from morning time to evening, day in and day out, going into the season with your body. Working in the bitter cold will wear a man out 3 times as fast as the heat, and acclimating to it means it has killed you. I've mad respect for yanks up north who have to do it.

I doubt if many people can tell the difference between 97 degrees and 92 12 months apart....
Not sure what the 12 months apart means, but guys can name you summers in recent memory that stood out. About 5 years is the cutoff for me on ones that stand out, with the exception of 2012 ("brutal" doesn't even come close to describing the incessant, lethal heat of that summer). A true 92 degrees as the high is nice arse weather this time of the year, 97 is standard: most definitely perceptible when you're in it 12+ hours/day.

We're at peak heat right now in a subtropical climate zone. It's going to be hot, but overall, for the people around the water cooler that are in the suck, they'll tell you it could be much, much worse, especially in the shade: that's when you find out if it's just hot in the sun, or hot-hot.

Wait, a second, liberals have been telling us that the high temperatures of the last several years were caused by global warming

They need to pick a story and stick to it

This would be like saying that the Saints were the team to beat in the NFC after starting 2-0 last season and Derek Carr looked like the MVP.

I would guess it is partially because green-filled democrats are not in charge of calibration of the thermometers and other weather related measuring devices.

It is, in fact, “colder” in DFW. It’s been 18 years since it hasn’t hit 98° once yet by this time in July.

I remember Pete Delkus from when he was Troy Dungan's backup.
Troy was a wine connoisseur and had a show about wine on WFAA. Has Pete made more of himself than just being a weatherman?

This is a friendly reminder that you're still wrong and you don't understand how temperature or thermometers work.
