Must be nice to resume operations without all the dumbass bar restrictions of JBE. I hate how JBE says he’s following the same Covid bullshite protocol as surrounding states because he isn’t.

The bars that have reclassified are definitely already packed.

I would guess that places like Backyard, Bottled Blonde and some of the Deep Ellum and Uptown bars/clubs can open without having tables out. The placed I go to require you to sit at a table and you can't just roam around.

Louisiana is behind New York (NEW YORK!) in opening bar service, and I'm honestly surprised Texas is just doing it now. Bars here have to serve food with the first purchase of an alcoholic drink, but food can be a baggie of crackers + cubed cheese for $1.
I'd have figured Gov Abbott would open bars up before football season started. And that Gov JBE would copy Cuomo in opening up bars.

Abbott took a ton of criticism when he lifted the stay at home order earlier this year and the number of cases jumped. He’s been hesitant to reopen completely since then.

Just for fun, I looked at the daily new case numbers for a few European countries and holy shite did that second wave get them. WAY more cases than the first wave...the UK had 14,500 new cases yesterday compared with about 7,500 on the worst day of the first wave.
But that being said, the daily deaths are incredibly low compared to the first wave, even with the explosion in cases.
