OP - haven’t seen this possible cause yet but could be prostate infection. Causes same symptoms. Hard to diagnose unless you find the right urologist. Treatment is simple doxycycline. Good luck.

I was just coming here to say this. I got a prostate infection once. Pain in the nuts that only went away (get this) by rubbing one out. First time I did it it was bloody so I went to the doctor. Several unsuccessful trips lead me to a urologist who told me it was a prostate infection. Gave me antibiotics for 30 days and it cleared it all up.

I googled it and saw all these as well.

Pain is not that intense. Just a strong discomfort. Doesn't seem like torsion.

Made an appt for Tuesday with my primary care dr.

As a urologist, this is the right first step. NSAIDs like ibuprofen and Aleve are the best pain medications typically for testicular pain. That said, he should check your urine for blood/infection (symptomatic stone should show blood) and check you for a hernia.

I get so many self-referrals from guys who end up feeling like they wasted their money seeing me. Generally a good idea to start with primary care.

Edit: Not official medical advice. :)

Could be a prostate issue/infection or yes it could be related to a kidney stone.

Could be a kidney stone.

My last kidney stone caused testicular pain for some reason. Went to a walk-in clinic because I thought I had Epididymitis. He took a urine sample and I had blood in my urine. Told me most likely a kidney stone. Had an ultrasound done and had a large kidney stone.

I don’t go to the doctor as much as I should but first sign of pain in my balls and I’ll be in the waiting room faster than you typed that.

Deeeeefinitely get it checked out. I farted around with my symptoms and wound up with stage 3 semimoma cancer. Had I gone at the beginning it'd have been one simple surgery instead of what turned into a nightmare.

Going to urologist on Thursday. Had testicular swelling of left testicle, then pain while urinating. Still have pain in the shaft of penis, and have dull lower back pain and stomach queasiness.

Urinalysis from PCP came back normal. Course of doxycyclene did nothing. Unsure what it could be.

Update...

Kind of late doing this...

Finally got referred to a urologist by my primary care doctor. Met with the urologist a couple of weeks ago.

He did another urinalysis. No blood at all this time. Also did a hands on test down there for hernia and whatever else.

Came to the conclusion of a somewhat common ailment. I apparently pulled some small muscle down in there. Forgot the name of it. Not really a groin pull.

So, yeah. Nothing mind blowing or crazy, thank goodness.

He gave me 15mg Meloxicam for any pain. It's a very strong 24 hour arthritis pain med. I haven't taken anything for pain for quite a few days now. Guess it's healing. Not supposed to lift anything too heavy for a while. Check up in 6 months.

Are you married? Are you sure your wife isn't kneeing you in the nuts as you sleep?

No it's just an anti-inflammatory. No/less inflamation = no/less pain. It's def not any type of pain killer med.

Have a wife dan? Pissed her off recently? She might be thumping you at night.

Or you're old arse is rolling over and squishing a ball at night. Been there done that.
