Not sure anyone wants to buy that debt. At least not for what Musk’s ego will allow him to sell it for. If the egomaniac would simply move out of the way they may have something. My opinion only. I have no problem with Tesla. My problem is solely with Musk.

I never had much of an opinion on Tesla, until I drove one. The lot I work for has a 2017 Model S. The handling and acceleration is crazy. I hope it never sells so I can keep driving it.

To get the battery technology and software, of course someone will, zero doubt imo.

Tesla isn't that far ahead on software and/or battery tech if at all. It's all image and marketing.

Cadillac's SuperCruise is superior to Tesla's hands free driving for instance.

It crushed every comparable car, and most cars twice its price in many respects.

I never cared or had an option either. I was indifferent. Then I drove one, complete game changer. it's just not close, other comparable cars are so far behind.

Performance, sure. Fit/finish and quality of materials, it's not close either, just not in Tesla's favor

Which cars have the same battery tech? Pretty sure Tesla is 1/2/3 currently in battery life.

Tesla batter life in 2011 was better than probably all current non Tesla cars.

Also, Tesla doesn't market.

Fair point, but when you factor that it's just comparable and ranked better than Tesla's auto pilot but Tesla has Full Self Driving... Overall you can't possibly say the Cadillac software is better than Tesla imo.

That's all Elon Musk does. He's a cult leader and the media parrots everything he says.

Do they buy traditional advertising? No. They market themselves through social media and the adoring media.

And yes, I can say Cadillac's tech is better and others say the same. Caddy doesn't release full auto drive due to the legal environment in this country. Frankly, that is making most manufacturers take a step back.

Imagine the howls in the media if Chevy's had problems with rear bumper covers falling off like Tesla has had.

I remember a week long screechfest due to Chevy recalling a million or so Silverado's several years ago. What was the recall for? Tailgate straps. A nothingburger but the outcry was insane. Not a peep about Tesla's losing their bumper covers.

Just like politics, the media protects the corporations they want to and slanders the ones they want to fail.

Not overall, just the super cruiser compared to Tesla auto pilot. Big difference in saying their full slate of software is better when just that portion rated better.

Do you own an M3? I haven't seen one piece of data from you. Have you not looked at their and Elon's financial situation. Even Space X has no demand for bond issuances. I don't understand what you think is happening. I'm sorry for being immature before but I think we have different interpretations of their delivery data.

Is that you Elon?

A strange thread, with some weird Tesla fanboys.

$50k?

Won't happen.

500 mile range?

Their cars now can't achieve that and this certainly won't when its towing.

Can haul a load of plywood and pull a 300,000lb trailer?

This is impossible! even if by some miracle it got that load moving without destroying the frame and hitch or melting the tires. It would never be able to stop. so this is just musk blowing smoke up his own arse.

Faster than any other truck on the road?

This is probably the only actually deliverable aspect of Musk's ugly truck. And yes those are concepts, but i have no doubt the actual truck will be butt ugly too.

How about you, what have you posted? Can you show me where Tesla loses money on every car they sell?

I have, and I addressed it. None of that makes the stuff you said any less wrong, nor does it prove anything I've said wrong either.

Don't care about SpaceX

I don't know what you're talking about, I just know you've made incorrect statements in this thread.

You confused decreasing demand with "no demand." That would be where our interpretations differ it seems.

Do you own an M3?
Before I gave direct opinions on this page, most things I was talking about were facts vs non-facts. Whether I have a Tesla or not doesn't make facts any more or less true.

Pretty sure the X has pulled 250k lbs of something and 300k lbs of a plane, but I have no clue how the actual towing capacity is figured as that's obviously not hauling it down a road at 45mph.

Easy there, you admit you have a clear bias against Elon, so you can't pretend that's not clouding your judgment.

I always find it odd the folks who are super anti-Tesla will call others fanboys and drinking the Kool Aid when the others are the only ones trying to be rational and not the ones melting and are the ones trying to stick to facts while the others are talking about fanboys and kool and and banging Elon or something.

It really shows who is being more emotional and biased.

Toyota showed a Tundra pulling a space shuttle.

That sort of crap only plays to those that know nothing about cars/trucks.
