Lol, glad you finally spit that out. I'm going short some TSLA.

Spit an obvious strategy out? You brought up revenue earlier like it was the only concept that matters....
They've been completely upfront about their strategy. They've had to establish a retail network from scratch while fighting the government restricted dealership laws in each state.

Good luck. Will certainly open high tomorrow based on overnight trading. Their stock is overvalued.
This is the car that will determine if the company is ultimately successful. First impressions from the internet is overwhelmingly positive.

There's a difference between attracting business and pushing technology that is otherwise irrelevant and unprofitable.
Regardless of what you think, these cars are the future. Gasoline engines will be around in some shape or form for a while, sure...but with the rapid advances in battery tech, electric cars and hybrid electric cars will be common in another 10-20 years.

And then we'll get our transportation power out of the little face in the wall instead of nasty combustion engines

Nice concept, Shame it's ugly.

Since yall keep bringing up Nissan for some reason...the Nissan "Leaf" is no different in regards to federal subsidies. It too is being artificially propped up like it's electric brethren
No one props up the leaf, it's ugly and has a horrible range. You are aware that both Porsche and Audi are working on Tesla Model S competitors right? Check out the Porsche Mission E...if electric car tech was so irrelevant, why would Porsche or Audi bother with it?

This article summarizes yesterday perfectly

Basically all the poor people hyped about getting a $35,000 tesla for that $7500 subsidy will be getting a $35,000 car for $35,000 bc the subsidies will be gone by the time the car comes out bc like i mentioned in the other thread only the first 200k cars tesla delivers will get it. So whatever they've delivered now + whatever they deliver in the next 2 years + all the fully loaded model 3 cars + all the model 3s that go to existing wealthy people who have an S or X.........regular people looking for a regular $35k car will more than likely be paying full price.

But investors aren’t the only ones setting themselves up for disappointment; the biggest letdown ahead awaits the longtime Tesla fans who hope that they may finally be able to stretch the family budget just enough to buy the affordable Tesla they have been waiting for since 2006. In order to bring the cost of a Model 3 below the $35,000 mark, buyers will need to qualify for a $7,500 federal tax credit—but that credit begins to expire after Tesla sells 200,000 qualifying vehicles. At current sales projections, Tesla will run out of those tax credits sometime in 2018—just as Model 3s start rolling off production lines. In order to be one of the lucky few to qualify for those few remaining credits, the Tesla fans most in need of the financial assistance are camping out in front of stores to claim their shot at getting a truly affordable Tesla before the credits expire.

Tesla is giving current Tesla owners (who have already bought a six-figure Model S or Model X) priority status on the Model 3 reservation list. More importantly, Tesla is pursuing its existing strategy of prioritizing the production of fully-loaded Model 3s, meaning the initial production run of the “affordable” Tesla will on average sell for well above the base price. In other words, those credits that are left by the time the Model 3 makes it into production will go to either existing Tesla owners (by definition, wealthy people) or new buyers who have enough to spend on a fully-specced Model 3 that could approach the Model S's $80,000 base price. The new, downmarket buyers who have waited patiently for Tesla to deliver its long-promised affordable electric car are likely to be stuck paying full price for a bare-bones version of the Model 3, with little to no help from the federal subsidy.

Is this thread where people come up with random nonsense about Tesla to explain why their F350 is better?

elon is a facade, tesla has been burning through cash, he's smart though instead of doing a secondary, he uses the hype machine he's built and just raised a fortune yesterday with all these deposits. Think about it, the sheep just gave him over $130M yesterday in deposits vs him having to do a secondary for the umpteenth time. LOL at people pre-ordering a $35K car. A camry or altima has never seen such hype.

not at all I find it hilarious that those who need the subsidies most, the guys on a tight budgets buying $35,000 cars they can barely afford are the ones who dont get subsidies but the guys with $130,000 model S/X cars get a subsidy + another subsidy on their fully loaded model 3 meanwhile those guys dont have to wait in line bc they had priority ordering. LOL all the guys ordering are going to be paying full price with no subsidy and they camped out to get in line, now that is hilarious to me.
