The looks are definitely subjective, I know people who love it. The Tesla intelligence, in my opinion isn't up for debate. They're just awesome and are only getting better with the OTA updates that are regularly pushed out. A big part of their model is continued hardware optimization via firmware.

I put down my $100 downpayment a few months ago. I'm getting the cheap single motor one since it won't be a daily driver. Mostly just for self-driving around town every now and then.

What is the alleged base price on that?
Are you concerned that Tesla won't deliver the stripped down models until the end of the production runs like they have done on the Model 3's?

the whole Tesla plan has been to work from premium to economical. The S, X, and Y are all funding this and the Roadster

SWD is $39,900 + $7K for self-driving. And yeah, I'm sure it'll be a ways off. I'm not in any rush at the moment.

None of these cars matter if you're prone to taking road trips. You're adding an hour to your drive time every 300-400 miles in order to charge, even at the fastest of charging stations.
Who in their right mind would go on real road trips anymore?

The charging network is well established. A lot of people think only about super chargers and not about 3rd party chargers. Also, teslas map out your route and give you your estimated charge to your next charging station. Plenty of youtube videos on this

Who does go on real road trips any more?
I get the range-xiety arguments, have made them myself, but I can count on one hand the amount of 400+ trips I have taken in the last 4 years. All of those I stopped and ate along the way for 30-45 minutes.
The biggest story I have heard is about travels to Disneyworld, so if you are a Disney head then it could matter.
