Does the Hummer come with a coupon for a tribal bicep tattoo and an Affliction shirt or do you have to buy those separately?

Nah they all drive F-250s and Jeep Wranglers with lifts.

They probably couldn’t figure out the how to plug the Hummer into their mobile home anyways.

How is the hummer going to be the first truck when Rivian is already out?

How is the hummer going to be the first truck when it is not a truck to begin with.

They were turning the corner a bit with the Model Y and Shanghai factory coming in on time, but back to the usual delays with the Cybertruck.

It remains to be seen when production will actually start, but so far, it's a pretty small delay, nothing really to freak out about.

And they're making this decision because the model Y is in very high demand

I’m still unsure of how Tesla actually makes money. It’s stock position is inexplicable.

My dumbass said the same thing about Amazon a few years ago.

Sky high valuation and losing their arse for years. Their first profit was Q4 of 2001 and that was a penny a share on $1B in revenue.

The profit they showed on the books for Q1 2021 was the result of selling Bitcoin holdings, and carbon credits to other manufacturers, not selling vehicles.

Why do you say that? It's a GMC and even if not all GMC dealers are set up to sell/service them there will still be far more service locations than Tesla or Rivian have.

And I guarantee to the panel alignment will be better than a Russian Lada, which Tesla cannot claim.

Elon Musk over-promising and under-delivering? Well consider me shocked.

To be fair, he is still completely disrupting several major industries and he doesn't spend money on commercials. None.

If he just did Space X he would still be considered a revolutionary figure. Tesla by itself is remarkable to watch since now everyone else is rushing to get in on the action. Don't forget that they've got Powerwalls and are changing how solar roofs are going to be built. Neuralink is pretty wild and impressive. He's doing all this shite at the same time and has like 20 kids.

Electric vehicles are simpler, not more complex.

That Hummer looks like a beast. Brilliant move by GMC to turn the iconic gas guzzler into their first EV truck, with it appealing to high end buyers capable of affording the early adopter tax.

I wish I could get one.

Yeah. GMC dealers are so rare and exotic

ETA: The Hummer is the best looking electric truck IMO. Followed closely by the Rivian.

Why did you randomly use 2 quarters ago but not the most recent quarter?

Q2 was the first time Tesla posted a profit without factoring in the credits, and they also lost money on Bitcoin in Q2.

I think Ford is still a year away.

Hummer is expecting to deliver the first trucks to customers within the next couple of months. Rivian shortly after. Then Tesla sometime this spring. Then Ford in August/Sept 2022.

Ahh I stand corrected. I still will not be buying any of them anytime soon.

Do you think meme readers know all that? Anyone keeping up with the CT knew that this was whst was going to happen. Anything delivered on 2021 would be yo just say thru delivered something

That Hummer truck is ugly as hell. Tries to hard too hard to incorporate the old Hummer grill. It’s a tired, lazy design.
The Rivian is refreshing & Lighting is ok.

They're all great starts to a new era, imo. I am looking forward to seeing where this goes in 2025 and beyond.

I was originally going to get a Model Y but I decided against it. I just can't give up having a truck or large SUV. The Model Y is super practical and but isn't really an SUV imo. I need to be high up and be able to run over stuff because I'm a tard. I will hold out.

I like it. I bought a reservation for the middle tier one when they first were announced but I'm not holding my breath. I actually went through the paperwork and got approved for a Model Y and then backed out while I was waiting for it to become available because it felt like I was settling just to get an EV. That's not the type of car I would normally buy.

In hindsight I should have bought the Y and flipped it for a profit 4 months later.
