Will Merkel and the gang kick the Syrians out? Will they evict any non citizen Muslim? Will they seal the borders from any further Muslim immigration? If not, then they aren't doing shite and Europe is dead.

The only person in this thread who gets it.

Does this own up a discussion of exporting all Muslims from Western countries? This feels unreal but I don't see an actual long term solution.

I think exporting them is unrealistic.

I think a lack of accommodation is the answer. You wanna be a "Western Muslim?" Feel free. You wanna be a radical? You're going to face some obstacles to living everyday life in the U.S.

Iran is still a serious threat. Unless your one of those people who think Israel isn't our ally. In that case, we shouldn't care what happened in France either, since it wasn't in the US.

When the attack started happening I thought about this. We will see just how much these leaders care in the upcoming days.

if turkey were a US state, it would be considered the most vile, rightwing, anti-woman, gay, safe space, etc state by a large margin

Expand, as I'm curious. My neighbors are Turkish, Muslim, and by all accounts awesome. My daughter and their daughters are great friends who have sleepovers regularly. She spends the night over there all the time, and I have no worries whatsoever. The husband is a financial planner whose workday is no different than mine. He gets up, works his arse off, comes home and hangs out with his family each evening. He doesn't seem any different than me, other than the fact that I drink beer and watch sports, while he and his wife have hot tea each night and talk about their day. And they don't wear shoes in their house. Other than that, they are no different.

I'd love to hear Afleck and Maher argue about this.

So one of the band members is among the dead? Missed that. Wasn't the lead singer from QOTSA?
