Nah the worst part about airlines is how MUCH they let people bring on a plane. You should get 1 carryon item, period.

Also, the FAA bullshite they go through before every flight, the PLEASE TURN OFF ELECTRONICS Nazis that run up and down the aisle before takeoffs. This is so stupid and pointless.

Not to mention the stupid fricking words they use
deplane
stowed

I flew SW for the first time in November. It was a relatively cheap flight considering how late I booked and it was nonstop.

It's definitely not something I'd ever do again, but for the money I do see why people continue use them.

i never understood why they don't board starting with the last row and work forward. That way the folks who need to get to the seats in the back aren't help up by everyone else trying to cram their 14 carry on items into the overhead bins.

I like the policy but it's gotten to where your best possible boarding position is around B20 without paying extra. That's checking in within 5 mins possible. As long as I'm not in a middle seat I'm good.

However, telling everyone to just pick a seat and let's go is way more efficient than having to wait for mouth breathers to try and find their seat. It never ceases to amaze me how many people struggle with this. Southwest's process takes 1/2 the time.

I typically book flights early and choose an aisle seat. When I board, I get on as close to last as I can.

It felt like a cattle call and was a little bit stressful. I wouldn't say it was awful by any stretch of the word, it just isn't for me.

I've always wanted the gate agents to start enforcing the carry-on size rules.

I love it because babies get on first so I can pick a seat far away from them

And that's one of the reasons they do that

This. I love the OT ballers who think any of the major carriers are somehow "upscale" choices.

Exactly. If I’m flying for work I usually go straight to the back of the plane. I don’t care about getting off the plane first and I’ve had good success at ending up with either a seat to myself of a space between at least.

I don’t understand why people hate southwest.

You’re still not in the front with the fake early boarders

I don't understand. On the Gulfstream, I always get to pick my seat.

Isn't that how all airplanes work?

Fat old woman and male stewardesses. There should be an age, gender, and weight limit for them.

Also, I dont like that TSA allows airline frequent fliers to skip the line.

Sure you aren't talking about TSA Precheck?
I have never seen TSA allow anyone to skip the line.
FIL flys in/out of Hobby every week and has never skipped a line but he has Precheck which saves a ton of time.

The entire concept of paying for checked baggage is worse.

No its not, free checked baggage is even dumber. What if I don't need a checked bag for a 2 night business trip? Why am I paying for it?

A checked piece of luggage can weigh 50 lbs and take up the same amount of space as a human. Checked luggage almost doubles what an airline needs to carry. It shouldn't be free.

Airlines just need to be more strict about oversize carry ons. I agree its an issue.
