Looking to purchase and install my own rather than getting an exterminating co. to come do. Any good recommendations?

Terminex uses Sentricon and they’re so confident they work they warranty follow up service and repairs from damage. Take it FWIW.

You know how they have antibiotic resistant bacteria? What if they develop sentricon resistant termites?

Then I guess Dow would change up the chemistry.

I’d say use a 2x4 but that’ll be costly AF right now

Don’t you see that would create a race of super termites?

It really is hard to beat what most companies charge for install and monitoring now. The first few years, when only very few companies were contracted to do it, it was really expensive. Now, every post control company does it. They also guarantee the system.

If that’s your concern then just use this shite, there’s no time to adapt because it kills everything instantly

Get a pest control co to do it, they mark the location of all of them and they installed ours around the house and if one ever comes out of the ground or needs to be replaced they will take care of it

The grass has pretty much covered up most of mine

Call a company that uses termidor. It’s the best way to ensure your house is protected from termites.

Or try to save a few hundred dollars and install a baiting system you probably won’t check on a regular schedule.

I just bought a generic version online and have been trenching around the house and applying it for the last week, one section at a time.
$100 and a little work vs. $1,200.
You do the math

Hope your generic version is good, hope you used a clean ph balanced spray rig.

Aren't these bogus? The moment you pull up the bait you destroy the pathway and there is no guarantee the termites find their way back.

Buy Taurus off Amazon. Contains fipronil. Follow directions exactly. Repeat in 20 years.

True, Taurus does contain fipronil in the same percentage. The label is not exactly the same however, and I’m not sure where you get 20 years from.
Also, is important to be familiar with your foundation type to ensure all voids are treated as well.
