They aren’t saying that prayer will eliminate the Wuhan virus; they are distributing prayers to deal with the challenges of the virus. Prayers help people deal with anxiety, fear, hopelessness, etc. unlike government that does nothing but stoke fear and panic in the citizenry.
When was the last time a politician said anything to inspire hope and confidence related to the virus?

I can't imagine the mindset of living in abject fear of human interaction (at this point) SOLELY for the purpose of virtue signaling. As in, because I'm still "concerned" I'm a better person than you. That's ALL this is at this point (and frankly all it's been since around May)
But do us a favor it the above describes you. Stay home. Mask-up! No, DOUBLE mask up!! Banter pompously on twitter with others about how virtuous you are. The rest of us would like to resume our previous (mostly) happy lives

Good. I believe that if America did a lot more praying for a lot of things it would do a lot less hateful things, and this country would be a lot better place in the process. One thing’s true, if you’re seeking after righteousness you’re not going to be consumed with wickedness, selfishness, and meanness.

You guys are unfaithful. Prayer is the ability to talk to the creator. He does what he wants but listens to prayers.

See, therein lies the problem. Man more often than not fashions God as some kind of vending machine, where he wants to put something in in order to get something HE wants out of it. That’s not a relationship. That’s a carnival.
Ever have someone say they’re your friend, but they only call when they want something from you, or use you to get something they want out of life? Do you consider them your friend? Clearly not. Yet we more often than not do that same thing with the Creator of the universe, even when He sent His only Son for the sole purpose of dying on a cross for our sins, and rising again to defeat death so that we can be with Him NOW and forever.
People claiming to represent God in religions today do that very same thing in talking about giving God money so that they can get something out of God. It’s appalling, and if you read scripture, that’s not at all what God is calling for in us.

The office of FAITH BASED and community initiatives wants to pray...shocking. I mean, go for it. We see how well masks and shutdowns have worked! If it isnt going to infringe on my rights and freedoms, pray and fast all day. I might even join you.
