The cop told him 3 or 4 times that he had no choice because he had a warrant.

Banks believes he’s above the law, where arrest warrants don’t apply to him. That stupid grill

If they don’t dismiss him from the team, Tennessee coaches don’t have a hair on their balls

I take it Hester didn’t tell cop where he is from they shoot cops or make veiled threats about cop not making it home to see family or mouth off like this guy.

People need to start looking at the attitude and disrespect they bring into any situation much less when dealing with a cop. Blaming racism, sexism, or other person being a cop & pulling you over just because they can you makes it easy for a jack arse of any race, sex, or creed to get support amongst peers for their side instead of an honest assessment of their own behavior in situation.

I will get downvoted the frick out of for this, but I didn't really take what he said as a threat or anything.

He was talking to the female intern policewoman and I took what he said as more of "why do you want to be a police its dangerous out there", he just didn't use the best way to say what he meant.

But its easy to take this story and sell it as "black college athlete tells cop they shot at police where he is from".

I think the worst part of this whole story is Jeremy Pruitt's handling of it.

He tries to tell the police that Banks couldn't make court because he grandfather passed away, etc, etc. There was a warrant out for his arrest.. Period. The police told Pruitt he had to arrest him and he could be bailed out for $500.

Pruitt should have thanked the police, went get him bailed out, suspended him for 2 or 3 games, but the way he handled it pretty much explains why his team lacks discipline and is 1-3.

I read the first sentence of your post and downvoted. Then, I read the second sentence and was mad I couldn't downvote again.

Well its not my fault you are not smart. That's why I expected the downvotes. You see and hear what you want to see and hear.

Is Banks an idiot? Yes. Because he was driving around at 3AM with a suspended license and a warrant. He also appeared to be high. He didn't pick the best way to say it, but I am pretty sure he was trying to say "why are you becoming a police. You are a woman. And the streets can get rough". Which would be stupid to say as well, but I didn't think what he said was meant as a threat.

But the media isn't know for taking shite out of context and turning it into click bait so you are probably right and I am the idiot.
