I don't understand why we don't just use Nitrogen to execute. All they do is go to sleep and die. It's painless and cheap.

There's a creepy link out there with every last statement from every executed inmate over the last 30 or so years. Some admit and apologize and beg for divine forgiveness. At least half are really depressing claims of innocence and lengthy goodbyes to various family members etc. Very disturbing.

Give him a few more jolts of volts

April 22, 1983. Alabama. John Evans. Electrocution. After the first jolt of electricity, sparks and flames erupted from the electrode attached to Evans's leg. The electrode burst from the strap holding it in place and caught on fire. Smoke and sparks also came out from under the hood in the vicinity of Evans's left temple. Two physicians entered the chamber and found a heartbeat. The electrode was reattached to his leg, and another jolt of electricity was applied. This resulted in more smoke and burning flesh. Again the doctors found a heartbeat. Ignoring the pleas of Evans's lawyer, a third jolt of electricity was applied. The execution took 14 minutes and left Evans's body charred and smoldering.

Agreed on the person who said fentanyl. We basically know that very high amounts make you go to sleep and die, with 100% certainty, yet we have some stupid drug cocktail that fails.

Same for the electric chair. Some poor girl drops her iPhone in the tub with her while it's charging and dies without fail, yet we can't design something specifically intended to electrocute someone. I mean, we can take pictures of a tiny piece of rock hundreds of millions of miles away, yet we can't perfect something people do accidentally all the time? I mean, come on humans.

I just want to say from a electrical standpoint, that is not how this works. Not at all.

Volts do not flow through anything and there is no such thing as a current of 1750 volts.

In there world of "your" and "you're", this is a bigger issue.

Get it right if you are going to write the story people
