Tell me about your experiences with both and why Tempur-pedic is superior.

We're afraid the tempur-pedic is too firm.

We bought the tempurpedic and returned it within the 90 day period. It was too hot and the slow recovery made it uncomfortable for someone like me that turns a lot in my sleep. Bought a restonic and been happy since.

In high school I slept over at a friend's house and he had a tempurpedic mattress. We shared a bed, we slept feet to face though so it wasn't gay. I woke up in the middle of the night and I was hard but only because I needed to pee.

Mattress was comfortable. 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Tempur pedic is really expensive and everyone says it is hot.

Husband and I went with the Serta iComfort. Has extra cooling layers closer to the top. I'm 9 months pregnant and I can say it is not too hot at all.

Been sleeping on Tempurpedic for a long time and never been hot. Comfort is nice and wife and I both like it. Would be hard for me to return to a conventional

You sound like a bitch saying we're afraid it's to firm. I suppose you will also have a we're pregnant party.

Temurpedic has been kind to me for many years. When mine craps outs, I will buy another one.

Hate ours. I sleep on the couch. For whatever reasons, my shoulders kill me when I sleep on it. It may be good if you sleep on your back or stomach. And once you break it in, you do kinda sink in it. Sucks for sex. But the wine glass on the end of the bed doesn't spill. We have the adjustable that vibrates and shite...still don't like it. Worst bed ever. Prefer my sealy posturopedic or whatever the shite it is.

Serta iComfort checking in here. A couple of points:

1.) it's not any hotter than other mattresses I've slept on and less so than others.
2.) There are different thicknesses and levels of firmness. People who don't like them due to this didn't do the right amount of research to be honest.
3.) Buy Bamboo Sheets. Don't worry about thread count. Bamboo Fibers don't need the higher counts. The 300 TC Bamboo we bought are much, much cooler and more comfortable than thread counts double or triple that number in Cotton.

Bamboo wicks moisture 10x's better than cotton and is a totally superior sleep experience in my experience. It's also ant microbial and anti odor.

My money's on Memory Foam. All day erry day. I slept on couches, single beds, and shite mattresses my entire life. I never worried about them. Ever. The wife convinced me of Memory Foam and it took one night to convert me.

Serta here. Like mine. The only complaint is a hard ridge where it was folded in the box. But that got better with wear.

My tempurpedic is awesome. It's not hot as some have said. I heard that before I bought it also. Not true. It's the most comfortable mattress I have ever felt. The non motion transfer is the bomb. I toss and turn a lot and I don't wake the wife. Everyone has different tastes. Go check some out and see what works for you.

Just bought the Cloud Supreme Breeze King size with adjustable base. It's awesome. I had a temper years ago and that one did get a little hot so that's why this time I got the Breeze, it has cooling features built in. My wife likes soft beds too so I was worried but she loves the bed. You can get the plush versions of the temper like the Cloud Elite and while firmer than most plush mattresses it will get better and better and they're pretty soft.

For me, it's awesome for my back. We sleep in the zero gravity position a lot and it started helping my back pains immediately. There is no problem with heat. It's firm but it will get softer as we continue to use it. Go lay on some for 15-20 minutes at a time and go back and forth. I think they're worth the money, my back thanks it.

They come in several models, with different degrees of firmness. Go to the store and try some.

I have the Select Comfort queen size with the dual air bladders. You can adjust the firmness on each side individually.

It doesn't happen often, but once in a while I need to change the firmness of my side for a day or two before going back to my usual firmness. The air mattress allows that to happen!

That becomes more important the older you get.

Tried a bunch of them. On a whim one day I decided to purchase a futon mattress. That's all I use now. Guess I'm weird.
