I wonder if most of people making these replies have spent anytime in CO.
Yes, Denver leans left, but it’s more the do-gooder types rather than people wanting handouts. Pot smoke is hardly a problem as gummies and pens are readily available, its certainly no worse than other big cities. It’s a big city and has big city problems like homelessness (which has got better recently after $160M spent on housing but I digress). Food is pretty mediocre for the most part but there are several very nice high end spots. Cars don’t rust out, that’s a non issue. My daily is nearly 20 yrs old and 200k miles without a hint of rust. Menver… it’s not 1997. There’s not a lot of fat people because doing the things that get people to move here require physical ability.
The biggest issue is housing cost. Its expensive. Any neighborhood worth a damn is $1m+ for a family home. The mountains are a lot more enjoyable if you have a place to stay so that’ll be another $750k+. Good news is the public schools close to the nice neighborhoods range from good to excellent.
Every weekend can be a vacation. Skiing, fishing, hiking, concerts, all 4 major sports, major airport that you can nonstop anywhere… but but but stinky smoke and rusty cars

Sad but true

The humidity is like 12%, it snows a 2 inches and the next day it’s sunny and 55, nothing is wet for long. Are the roads gross after a big snow, sure. Those happen like twice a year these days.

the only bad thing about Colorado (frick politics) is there isn’t enough water to sustain it

Help my moving blues by telling me something about Colorado that brings me down to reality lol
When I lived there in the late 70's early 80's (Boulder) the saying was "Don't Californicate Colorado. It didn't work. It's Californicated now. Too crowded and overrated. There are much better options out west.

You have to breathe in twice to get the same amount of oxygen you’d get in a single breath in Louisiana.

How do you feel about Venezuelans and sharing your property?

I found them, at least in the west side of Colorado, woefully ignorant. Have half the state come live in Louisiana for six months and things would change. They aren’t bad people but haven’t been exposed to the nonsense we have in LA. It’s easy to be super lib when you’ve never been exposed to cultcha. I guess that could for the population of a lot of states though.
I say the same thing for suburban Boston that is 99% white. They have no idea the bullshite you see and deal with. Even though they see the stereotypes on TV and movies, it isn't real until you actually deal with it.

It's full of women who don't wear makeup and men who wear wire rim glasses with a man bun.

Otherwise it is immensely beautiful.
Why do you think (I'm seriously inquisitive) some of the most geographically beautiful states or areas, tend towards being liberal? The whole west coast is naturally beautiful. I mean, Reagan, came out of CA just 40 years ago. What happens?

Food ain’t great. Snow gets tiresome quickly. It is VERY VERY socially insular. Hard to make new friends (Denver specifically). Anywhere charming is too $$$$ to live. Better buy a vat of chapstick not just for your lips but to smear all over your cracked and bleeding skin

Montana, and I imagine Utah are both better, and have the same positives of Colorado.

Just sole some land up there, had it for many years. Big increase in real estate prices. Too many calafornia people have moved in and brought their politics with them.

I sat next to Justine Bateman at a restaurant last time I was in Aspen. The woman looked 90 years old. I showed my kids a picture of her on my phone from Family Ties and they didn’t believe
Me that it was the same person.

Like you won't have a neighbor who you can just shoot the shite with, god forbid a Friday afternoon having a beer at a brewery and sparking up a normal conversation with people. I'm not kidding when I say the people sucked so hard.
This
People are extremely self-centered.
Food is bland: green chili is grease in a bowl.
No culture-bland environment
Lots of tranny looking young people
Homelessness is tolerated
Police don’t care
Too cold Nov to May
Windy
Expensive real estate
People don’t take care of their fences or yards. Little pride in ownership.
