Been looking for a boxer. Wanted to adopt one, but the LA Boxer Rescue never got back to me. I came across this mix of a boxer and a Curr. Dad is a boxer, mom is a Curr.

I'm familiar with boxers, but not a Curr. Can anybody tell me what to expect from that breed?

You’re not having a lot of success with that so far

catahoulas are very protective. My SIL has a fenced yard and they will tear you a new arse if you step inside that fence. They are beautiful dogs btw

They're stubborn and will be aggressive if not raised by a firm person who knows how to handle them.

In other words if you're nice to it its going to bite somebody. Stay away unless you're experienced with hard headed prey driven dogs

That's all they said was Cur. I'm trying to get pics uploaded, so maybe someone can help better identify. Not having much luck though.

Since you're using Photobucket you need to make a small payment of $400 to be able to share your photos. I think they take most major credit cards.

Except for a few specific breeds, cur is a general term for a mutt of hunting/working background.

If it was a blackmouth cur or catahoula they would have almost definitely said so.

How do they compare to a boxer in terms, well pretty much everything? How stubborn would it be training, as far as being an inside dog?

Yea that there is your basic batch of "bite the shite outta somebody" curs.

You have to be more hard headed than they are to raise them and it's kinda a crapshoot for what you'll get. My best dogs have been "cur" dogs. I've been around many worthless ones as well though.

I have a catahoula. Love the dog. He's very hyper. Lots of energy. But he's basically a 90lb. Lap dog and extremely protective! But overall one of the best breeds of dog I've ever owned.

I'm thinking that is a Heinz 57 cur dog. Little bit of everything in it. Good looking pup. Be a great dog.

The dad looks like a pure boxer. Pup favors a boxer a good bit too. I know how to handle a boxer well, just don't know what I would get in the Cur bloodline. So I'm torn on what to do.

Recommendations for keeping it inside?

Also, thoughts on male or female?
