If somebody goes to sewanee and isn’t obsessed with drinking or the outdoors they will probably be bored to death.

Coat and tie is common mostly with older professors, in most classes it is only pledges that wear coats and ties every day and to every class. But most guys wear button downs and khakis to class every day, from what I’ve seen, with coat and ties for special days.

It is basically a cult with a weird firefighter obsession. Good school though.

Sewanee Fire is a great way for a kid to save some $$, gain some life skills, and give back to the community. I know quite a few kids of both genders who served in one capacity or another. All of them have done very well in life.

Sewanee grad clerked one summer for us. He banged both of the hot twin daughters of one of our secretaries.

One twin was short and stacked, the other was tall and slender.

Country club for the really rich old South type people to send kids too dumb to get into Vandy but not dumb enough to have to go to Ole Miss.

I'll add that everyone (about a dozen grads) I've ever met from Sewanee is a pompous prick who thinks way too much of himself.

As an Episcopalian I can tell you that if the school is anything like the Church then he will come out uber liberal. I have left the Church over their views which have only escalated into the liberal realm.

My brother went to Sewanee and became an Episcopal minister.
He left the Episcopal Church , and became a minister with the Anglican Church.
