You interview yet? Appears to be paying ops pretty good. I’m curious if they offer pension and retiree medical.
By the way you don’t have to live there, only 35-40 min drive from G town, prarieville area.

They are in the early stages of building the plant.

Pay and benefits are on the top end of what the rest of the surrounding plants are paying.

As you probably already know, they are hiring senior operators and a few more supervisors right now if you are interested in operations. Rumored testing/interviews/hiring is supposed to be somewhere around September for the first group of operators, with less experienced people to be hired at a later date.

You got kids? They have a great Montessori school in St. James Parish but Ascension has better schools. Not much to do for kids except for a jumping type place. Not many really good places to eat, a few. Nothing to do if you're an adult but you are midway between NOLA and Baton Rouge. No Walmart or major shopping centers.
They got a Winn Dixie and for some reason they got like 4 Dollar general type stores. But there is a Jennys fried Chicken and if you can get it fresh it's the best.

It's called Perique tobacco and it's grown in St. James Parish.

They're giving away truck nuts as a signing bonus.

Nah, no kids and I’m single. Hmmmm sounds kinda like the desolate shithole I’m living in already here in SouthAr.

Quiet. Pretty rural. The high school usually has a good football team if you like a football.

Tell them you post here on your interview.

Yeah, that pretty much describes St. James & Vacherie, as well.

If you're interested in an operations job the methanol process is the king of the castle. Very clean and runs well.
