i divorced at 42 and women were like fish in a barrel.
avoid the online dating sites because they suck for older men.
just get out there; take up a sport, hit Targets and Traders & Whole Foods and if you can carry on a conversation with another human you won't have trouble getting a date with anyone.
protip1: women LOVE when someone they've never seen before asks them out spontaneously. they will almost always say yes.
protip2: women get a creepy vibe and turned off if you 'run into them' 2 or 3x at the same place and talk to them without asking them out (see protip #1 above)
protip3: exuding confidence is 99.9% of the battle

She is attractive and a very cool lady, so I don't really blame him but it's still weird to hear him talk about his step kids being out of college.

Sorry, I'm going through a divorce and started dating my wife in college. Picking up girls in college was insanely easy, between bars and friends of friends, and at that time, cell phones were just kind of becoming an everyday thing, we were years away from smart phones.

because they're stupid as shite.
for every halfway decent woman on there, there are 100 hardlegs messaging her so they think they can lead multiple men on because they're so sought after and you'll waste an enormous amount of time talking to them for very little payoff.
also if they're halfway interested they will obsessively read through your profile and how you answered those '100 questions' and make a judgement about you (see my protip#2 above) so they could get turned off just because of a single answer to one of those dumbass questions and you'd never know it.
i tried this for like 6 months after my div and ditched it in favor of talking to women in person.

I used Tinder and POF at 28-30 and had a lot of success but it was usually younger chicks on Tinder. POF were more 25-30 range. Also buying a motorcycle doesnt hurt. Girls wont auto frick you with on...but walking around in biker gear does make a lot more heads turn.
