I know some pretty successful people that would have ended up with felonies on their record had they been charged for fighting at highschool parties

To me, there is a huge difference in a kid just showing up to have a good time and getting jumped for no reason. That falls more into the bullying category

Trying to 'holla" at a girl who has a boyfriend then stepping up when he confronts you is called getting your issue.

We'll have to just agree to disagree on it

I don't think it is really that high and mighty to refrain from beating people with beer bottles and a large group just because they talked to "your woman"

Because you only heard one side

But we know the white kids wont speak up because the black community will label them racists

Well the white community here seems to be labeling this kid a liar very quick

Sorry but regardless of skin color, in high school if you show up to a party and start trying to talk up a girl with a boyfriend you should expect trouble. including getting jumped by him and his boys

Is this some kind of Feliciana thing? I grew up and went to public school in small town Louisiana and never experienced anything like this.

Fast forward to sophomore year of college. I meet a girl in class and she invites my friends and I up for a crawfish boil at her family's place in St. Francisville. My friends and I are really friendly but we got iced out by her friends from back home almost immediately.

One of her douchebag friends, who had a pissed off look, all night ends up trying to start shite and she had to calm him down. She later told me that's just how people up there are.

Found out later that guy became a cop up there. Shocker.

take color out and i have the same opinion. My story i mentioned everyone was white. It doesnt matter to me what color they are... you stroll up to a party chatting up some dudes lady and you are looking for trouble, simple as that. Then toss in "do you want to fight" Well that will pretty much do it

You're not a man of principle. Are you a man at all?

I agree with this to an extent but looking at the kids picture in the hospital and statements about getting hit with a bottle... It went way past "getting your issue"

every situation is different but you can't just blindside someone with a bottle to the head and not get charged to protect a future

Yes I am. My principle is I will fight to defend myself and my family.

I will not fight because someone was talking to my old lady

That is usually how these threads go......
