My point was that it shouldn't be called as such even given it's historical reason. I'm not racist at all. I'm the guy who wants equality. Also, grinds my gears a bit when AA members of society wanted statues taken down for their negative historical significance, but label schools as such.

Here ya go rebel. The grand wizard sent me this.

And white people can go there as a minority.

you have waffled pretty hard in this thread

you literally asked why we didn't have "white only" colleges and then pretend like you were not implying that HMCU were black only

Okay so I was wrong with my first post.

I haven't called names or been racist one bit in here.

Sorry everyone ...

Amazing feat in the war torn schools of today.

I'm not calling you a racist, but the fact that you read this story, and your first post was the thing that you decided to take away from the article, says a lot about how you view the world

good for her. I googled Bennet college and saw it was a liberal arts college. I was just guessing. I'm glad she is going in to a STEM related field.

My cousin applied for a bunch of hbcu's but they didn't take him because he was "too white". I told him to put his middle name on the application instead of "graham"

Bet I've seen more of "the world" than you have.

Why is this even news?

Congrats a girl applied to a lot of colleges, but let's focus in and make it about race.

It's clear you have a misunderstanding, a negative one at that, of what a liberal arts education is.

Might want to google that as well.

No, I understand it perfectly. I know quite a few people who have liberal arts degrees focused on philosophy or literature and they don't have very many career options. I also know people who have liberal arts degrees focused on biology or mathematics who never were able to do anything with them. If I was planning on going to med school I would want something other than a simple biology degree to fall back on in case it didn't pan out.

I bet you he didn’t even realize what he did.

Some of the people here are amazing. They whine about “dindus” and “cultcha” then, you have a black girl who rises above all that and they still want to talk about her race and crap on her accomplishments.
