Im looking at an MSN story right now that says “91.3% effective at protecting against symptomatic disease UP TO 6 MONTHS after the second dose...”

Which is it ? Up to or more than?

That's good to know! Happy for them to spend the tax money in a transparent manner that actually benefits the city

Avegno can't figure out that black citizens are more likely to reject the vaccine than their white counterparts.

Mainly because white people, such as Avegno, have used black americans for medical experiments while telling them it was for their own good.

Are you people really this fricking stupid?

quote:

The ongoing Phase 3 clinical trial of Pfizer/BioNTech's coronavirus vaccine confirms its protection remains high for at least six months after the second dose, the companies said Thursday.

Protection likely lasts even longer than that, vaccine experts say, but they say having data showing good protection six months after people were vaccinated is good news.
The vaccine remains more than 91% effective against disease with any symptoms for six months, the companies said in a statement. And it appeared to be fully effective against the worrying B.1.351 variant of the virus, which is the dominant strain circulating in South Africa and which researchers feared had evolved to evade the protection of vaccines, the companies said.
"The vaccine was 100% effective against severe disease as defined by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and 95.3% effective against severe COVID-19 as defined by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)," Pfizer and BioNTech said in a joint statement.

quote:

The COVID-19 vaccine developed by Pfizer and BioNTech remains highly protective against the novel coronavirus for at least six months after the second dose, the companies announced Thursday (April 1).

This analysis, based on an ongoing trial of more than 44,000 volunteers, included 800 participants in South Africa, where a coronavirus variant with some ability to evade antibodies, called B.1.351, is causing the majority of new cases. Nevertheless, the vaccine still appeared highly protective against this variant, according to a statement from Pfizer.

Supporting this trial data, laboratory studies of vaccinated individuals' blood also showed that the shot induces a robust neutralizing antibody response against B.1.351, according to a report published March 8 in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Sure, like the people she's talking about don't all have cellphones. Leisure time? Do the people she's referring to not have at least 10 minutes to themselves out of 24 hours so that they can book an appointment? Why is this woman assuming that the people she's referring to are too stupid, inept, and without means to get online and book an appointment? Avegno might be the worst person on the planet.

Yeah it's kind of funny. In her mind she's trying to protect them, but all she's really doing is demeaning them and acting like they're incapable of every day tasks.

This is so much bullshite anyone who wants a vaccine can get one in New Orleans. You could get one by the end of the day if you wanted. I have family members in other parts of the country that are being told It will be May before they can get a shot.

Avegno is one of the "good white people" that are there to protect the black community from itself.

They literally have no idea when herd immunity is reached until it is reached. We will know when it is reached when people stop getting really sick from the disease. The current hospitalization numbers saying we are starting to see that now.

They are but that doesn't mean people are going to get the shot. The "vaccine inequality" argument is being peddled when the issue is some people in the black community don't want to get it. It's much more fun to play the inadequacy race card.

Like most looney white liberals, she sees blacks as children - and often suggests that they are helpless - without realizing how fricking insulting that is. The soft racism of low expectations gone mad.

I kinda hope so. The fact that we have a grass course in the winter attracts good horses from big barns who would rather run at Oaklawn for more purse money. No turf racing until January because of Jazz fest will send those horses elsewhere.

Churchill Downs Inc doesn’t give a shite about horse racing, though.
