This is very much true
The state of California is trying to remove discrimination laws solely because Asian people are too smart on average
Hispanic people and black people absolutely fricking hate Asian people. Thus California government does.

Anecdotal story follows, not for generalization
We did the Chinese restaurant on Christmas Eve thing like in "A Christmas Story" one year.
The owner's daughter (8 years old or so) was studying her arse off at a corner table with some thick book, pencil, paper, the whole nine yards, with Mom watching her like a hawk.
Some white kid about the same age was acting like the typical 8 year old boy - not bad but goofy.
We looked at each other and said, "There is the A student and there is the C student."
Tiger Moms are real.

Asians are better off economically than any other race in the US, yet they are a tiny fraction of the population.
Asians also place heavy cultural importance on family and education. I wonder if these two things are related?
