I without a doubt always saw better school management from male principals than female. Moreso today, because now school districts are promoting more female and coloreds to the highest ranks for "balance." It is now harder for males to achieve the position than before.

9 months at 8 hours per day... I've been teaching for 19 years, and I cannot tell you the last time I worked less than 9.

Thats them badass children.

A friend went to work for an elementary school in NBR years ago, she lasted about a year. She had a 6yr old student who had a funny/odd smell to her. After a couple of days of the smell, she took the young girl to the school nurse, it turned out it was a venereal disease. After an investigation, it was found that her father was pimping her out.

Another friend spent a few years working over in Donaldsonville. She had elementary school boys tell her "shut up, bitch" and try to intimidate her.

Those "badass children" are a product of their environment and there's nothing in the world a school system can do about shitty parents and a shitty community.

I taught / coached at a private school in North La in the early 90's.

Those rich kids from Monroe were a problem....BACK THEN. Even though not nearly the issues in the public schools now.

But I have NO clue why anyone would want that hassle. Kids are idiots and the parents are worse.

Here's the problem. This kind of thinking and doing is far too absent:
The Education of the Heart is the Heart of Education.

C.S. Lewis's The Abolition of Man continues to be the most important book of the 20th century. Everyone in America needs to take a refresher course on the 82 page book every year.

You ain't lying..... Coaching baseball and track at a rural school. Don't get paid jack crap for coaching but who is going to do it????? Coaches have to drive the bus and we don't get paid for that. 15 hour days are the norm around here in the Spring.
