I don't believe anyone literally thinks North Louisiana isn't part of Louisiana, it's just different and it sucks, so people from the South don't claim it. It's like that cousin that no one likes, you don't claim him but you know he's still related to you. If anything people from North Louisiana are just butthurt that their part of the state sucks

The whole state sucks when talking about most metrics not outdoors, food, or Nola related. South LA just has better food and is closer to the part of the state that doesn't suck, new orleans.
Having to trash other things to bring up the opinion of your things is pretty much the definition of insecure.

One of those is without a doubt the best city in the state, and the other is top 3. Baton Rouge would easily be the best city in North Louisiana

The area that I grew up in of EBRP was pretty redneck in the 80s. We ate a lot of South Louisiana food but most of us drove trucks and hunted and fished. I can't imagine we were much different than most people from North Louisiana
