Good for him man. Feels like something unifying we can all get behind.
Apple already dropped the possibility of having “South Park” on their streaming service due to “offending China.”
Going to be very interesting to see where this goes.

They’ve already used it this season.

South Park “frick the Chinese Government”
South Park issues mock apology to their “foreign censors.”

Apparently Tarantino has encouraged his fans in China to bootleg his movies in the past.

My buddy is a screenwriter, just had to rewrite entire script because the woman had to much of a dominant role vs the man and China wouldn’t go for it. It’s ridiculous he says.

South Park lampooned the hell out of that in the “Band In China” episode listed above.
One half of the episode dealt with Stan’s band trying to make a biopic but having to constantly rewrite everything to appease the Chinese censor. He’d start writing something on paper or a laptop and the official would walk over and delete whole sections for him.

Is that wrong?

Do Tarantino movies (where his biggest skill is the writing) even translate to the Chinese audience?
They really only love the big cgi-fests.

One of many things I am sure they get pissy about.
In South Park, the list of concepts that had to be minimized or completely forbidden due to the Chinese censor included the Dalai Lama, being gay, organ transplants, Winnie The Pooh, etc.
