You do not see 40 year old "frat boys" talking on their speakerphone in public. That's not a thing. Zero.

I don't know about that. One of the most annoying ones is the loud over the top white sales guy talking on his phone while walking through an airport thinking everyone needs to know he's a salesman. You can hear him coming from a mile away.

Talking on the phone doesn't burner me. Talking in the speakerphone in public makes me irate.
Like only assholes and idiots do this.

It’s the individual holding their phone like a F’n Pop Tart, on speaker, that annoys the shite out of me.

MF, if you’re going to let me hear both sides of your call, give me the background information so I can weigh in with an opinion as well. Otherwise, turn off the speaker, put the damn phone to your ear and have a conversation like a majority of people do.

I occasionally like to join in the conversation.

I assume that if they are saying it in public, it is a public conversation.

If my phone rings, or I have to call someone while around others, I go wherever I can to get privacy.

The one that bugs me the most is when a plane lands, 50% of the people jump on the phone to chat and then when it comes time to deplane, it takes forever because many people are doing it with one hand so they can keep talking.

I always cough REALLY LOUD when someone is doing this. Like over and over.

Plus if they are Covid freaks , I get double points for screwing with their call and coughing on them.

there is a demographic that has someone to talk to on the phone 24/7

Drove to a job at 4am a few years back and my co-worker was yapping on his Bluetooth with random family members the entire drive.

The mail man on my block is always talking to his partna

I don’t get why white women started doing the pop tart thing while driving. Bitch, you’re in a 2021 luxury suv, you’re not on a reality show.

Had to go down to the tax assessor’s office today and there was a mom playing Baby Shark on repeat to entertain their kid. Thought I was going to lose it.

That's also my experience but I have been told repeatedly that I am mistaken or I must be hallucinating or living on another planet.

My dad puts his phone on speaker and still holds it up to his ear.

He's 80 though, so I try and cut him some slack.

First, it is a thing, sorry if that upsets you so much. And second, the thread is about speaking on the phone in public, not the speakerphone.

I more often see what appear to be white salesman types doing both more than any other demographic though not the speakerphone thing very often.

Again, sorry if my experience dents your chosen narrative.

Who doesn’t like to talk on the shitter and let one rip so the person on the other end can hear it?
