Shoal Creek is great, especially for game day. Lavaca Street bar is another semi known LSU watch spot. It's catered a bit more towards the party, take shots, turn the frick up crowd.

My nephew is selling his home in Bastrop. He said it’s turned into a liberal shithole because of Austinites.

Two qualifiers on that: he says it’s become a bedroom community for the Austinites. He’s been there 5-6 years and is not at all enamored with the influx of liberal transplants to Bastrop. And his daughters’ school is going downhill (woke).
Also, politically, he’s to the right of John Locke. He’ll do well in West Texas far away from a metropolitan area.

Is Steiner still one way in one way out down 620?

There are two entrances into Steiner from 620. Traffic pre pandemic was pretty terrible on 620 to 2222 during rush hour. But they built an extra partial lane and a short cut to 2222 which really helps traffic.

Round Rock used to be a tiny backwater when I was a kid. It's a pretty big suburb now.
It, Hutto and Georgetown are all I'm really familiar with.

What I call it is Central Texas' biggest truck stop. There are way too many cars driving on 71/21 and in town for it to only have 8,500 people here. I do like living out here just wished I picked a better house, had to take what was available to rent until next April.
