This week a major break in the case, as national regulators announced a massive seizure of fake booze. 10,000 gallons of a mixture of high levels of methanol and cheap sedatives were seized from one manufacturer. The alcohol was reportedly being sent to 31 locations across the Cancun area, including the very hotel where the McBride's stayed. They couldn't believe their eyes when we showed them the report.

Easily not the worst substance I've put into my body while in Cancun.

Just drink beer. Much safer. Has been for thousands of years.

Mr. McBride needs to drop his wife off in the Alabama woods for a month. Maybe 2.

I was in Mexico a few years ago and stayed at a resort. I only ventured off the resort one time to go into town (near Puerto Vallarta) and I used my credit card to make a purchase at something that resembled a convenience store. Fast forward 1 month later and I get my credit card bill....it had over $2000 in charges in Mexico to several places, including a Costco. Whoever owned the store where I made my purchase stole my credit card ID and went to town on a spending spree. Fortunately, the credit card company deleted the charges and I didn't have to pay.

TL, dr: Mexico is a shitty place. Don't trust anyone.

Was this your 1st time out of Gonzales?

This can be said about the majority of the world. Everywhere has its nice places and shitty places.

Ever been to Italy? Slums and graffiti everywhere once you leave the tourist areas.

The only cars on the island are city taxis.

In Puerto Vallarta, they had a fleet of 1995 Nissan Sentras that they painted orange and used as taxis. Outside the resort, I don't think that town had one thing that could be considered "modern"
