It's not a big deal if you don't plan to go in to the game or stay long. We pulled ours in a Little Red Wagon.
After they got older, we just had the oldest drive the Barbie Jeep pulling the Little Red Wagon with the iced chest & food.

Depends on how hot it is that day and how long you plan to keep them outside, whether they are well at that time...lots of factors to consider that you won't have until the date nears. I'd have a backup plan if you want to attend the reunion/tailgate. I understand you wanting to take them to a family reunion. I probably wouldn't keep them out very long unless conditions are really good for that. Could you bring them for a while and then take them back to your home or hotel with a sitter after a bit? I've seen folks at the ballpark with young children about 1. They bring those big square flat battery operated fans and keep them out of the sun, but those kids have the reddest faces and look uncomfortable. October might not be too bad. You might get a weather break that day.

I guess I wouldn't be able to have a kid outside with me while I'm grilling in my backyard either. Someone should have told my dad.

but I would assume at a family reunion, the family wants to see his kids
and him and his wife probably won't have to worry about taking care of the kids as I'm sure very aunt and lady there will want to hold and play with them

Correct. We planned on my mom taking them back to the house after a couple of hours as well.

I'm really confused in this thread...
My wife will be giving birth to our first, literally any day now, we sold our season tickets for this year, so I wont be out there at all.
but was planning on keeping them next year, bringin the little man out for a couple games. I'm sure he wont go to the game, but tailgate and hang out all day... don't really see the issue. Seems like I see babies out there all the time. Our tailgate is very family friendly.
