I'm really confused in this thread...
I just assume its a bunch of 18-22 year olds who think tailgating is only for getting trashed and can't possibly consider that one day their sole purpose will not be to get completely trashed

and I see nothing wrong with it, if it's like he said. not a hardcore party tailgate, just a little family get together

I pay a sitter
how much does that cost for all day? I have no idea what to expect. We usually leave the house around 9 and don't get home til after the game, that's going to be like 14 hours... I'm sure that will add up quick

when he says "I pay a sitter" he really means I drop them off at grandmas

I think we usually pay about $10 an hour but my wife takes care of that stuff

All of my kids are really active, if I brought them to either of those I'd be chasing them down the road all day......not how I want to spend my saturday

that's what I would do, but grandma will be at the tailgate!

We planned on my mom taking them back to the house after a couple of hours as well.
You should be fine unless there are some unusual weather issues and you already have a back up plan in case that happens. If it's hot, keep them shaded as much as you can. The temp is much lower under the tents. Have fun showing off your babies!

Been taking our daughter to at least one game every year since she was 1. Most people who say don't do it either have shitty kids, are shitty parents or don't have kids.
