I highly doubt T-Mobile would pay the insurance that is associated with climbing cell towers. A company as big as T-Mobile would subcontract that kind of work out. Field Engineers don't climb towers. Tower hands/technicians climb towers.

The thread title and linked article both say engineer. I did not research it so I am going with it. Especially because I don't care.
