I would bet we would launch a counterattack a lot faster than the "Doolittle Raid" but I am sure hos speech would not be as good as Roosevelt's.

Though Roosevelt was a bigger socialist, and not from Hawaii.

Not exactly analogous. Japan was a sovereign and recognized country. It is not some vague criminal association that probably isn't even an organized group.

that wasnt the point of my OP.

it has to do with where we are as a country (including leadership) in 2015 vs 1941 and what type of response we would make.

It was a time of war. You cannot be too safe. Now go clean the sand out of your vagina.

Boys wouldn't leave college in droves to voluntarily enlist as the old timers did, that's for sure.

Oh, they love freedom but enjoy other things way to much. Like posting about what they would do...

Your point is that Obama's response to the attack in California was weak therefore would our response to another similar attack (similar per the framing of your scenario) be similarly weak. Don't be dishonest and act like you can't read between the lines of what you are trying to say with your silly question.

You were questioning people who were really jewish and who were not. Then you tell me all this hoop la about her dad making up a story or some shite and end it with "not real." How was I supposed to know whether you are saying Anne Frank is not really jewish or the Diary of Anne Frank was not real.

Yes, better safe than sorry. Some people had an inconvenient time during a time of war and confusion.

I say do it again, open them up again. I'll run the motherfricker.

I don't think ISIS was behind the attack in California, rather ISIS sympathizers, which to be honest scares me a lot more. Instead of people from Sryia coming here and doing their jihad, we just have radicals doing attacks like this.

What can we do but be vigilant and carry a gun?

I've always thought you were truly borderline mentally retarded. But never realized your hatred for Jews.

The Holocaust deniers are the only ones that have proposed that her father in fact wrote the diary. They have been officially disproved.

quote:

In November 1980 the Netherlands State Institute for War Documentation received all of Anne's original papers as sitpulated in Otto Frank's will. They conducted a definitive expert analysis of the diary using state-of-the-art technology. Their report, which is published as The Diary of Anne Frank: The Critical Edition, is 719 pages long. The State Institute conclusively determined that the diary currently published as the "definitive" version is not a "novel" or a "literary fraud" but it is an accurate presentation of the original material and that all of the materials were written by Anne.

And your allegation about FDR knowing about Pearl Harbor is not only laughable, but further demonstrates your idiocy. However, Darth did an admirable job of documenting your retardation.

Many internees lost irreplaceable personal property due to restrictions that prohibited them from taking more than they could carry into the camps. These losses were compounded by theft and destruction of items placed in governmental storage. Leading up to their incarceration, Nikkei were prohibited from leaving the Military Zones or traveling more than 5 miles (8.0 km) from home, forcing those who had to travel for work, like truck farmers and residents of rural towns, to quit their jobs.[160] Many others were simply fired for their "Jap" heritage.[161][162][163]

Alien land laws in the West Coast states barred the Issei from owning their pre-war homes and farms. Many had cultivated land for decades as tenant farmers, but they lost their rights to farm those lands when they were forced to leave. Other Issei (and Nisei who were renting or had not completed payments on their property) had found families willing to occupy their homes or tend their farms during their incarceration. However, those unable to strike a deal with caretakers had to sell their property, often in a matter of days and at great financial loss to predatory land speculators, who made huge profits.

Same world, but different place. Times were different, people say to themselves now..

"Why should I give my life or health to fight in a war, when it can be ended with 1 push of a button in Washington? If I'm going to die, I want it to be for something I believe in. Not a political personal agenda from whoever happens to be in charge".

Well, let's see:

1) First I'd pressure the media to blame it on domestic right wing terrorism and cross my fingers that I'm right

2) After discovering that in fact the perps were Islamists, I'd pressure the media to caution against using the words "Islamic Terrorism" until further proof.

3) I'd lecture America about how great middle eastern culture is and how the vast majority of Muslims are peaceful people.

4) I'd do all of this between my daily prayers while facing Mecca.

Did I do that right?
