It's hilarious they are making Florida out to be a great state to live in with no issues of their own.

Can’t say I blame him. Palm Beach is one of the nicest areas in south Florida. It’s extremely clean, upscale, and isn’t littered with drug addicts and homeless people like LA. The problem is that celebrities and wealthy retirees have turned south Florida into a rich person’s playground. Cost of living there is super high and the job salaries are shite unless you’re a lawyer, real estate agent, social media influencer, or work from home transplant.

I think this strategy by the left back fires on them. The two biggest things Hispanics value are family and faith, and the Democratic Party is trying to dismantle both those. I could be wrong but that’s my opinion.
But if they’re successful in flipping TX, republicans will never win another election.

The athletes and celebs like the FL weather and beaches, sure, but they really love the lack of a state income tax.
That's what drives a lot of these decisions to move to FL and TX. CA's income tax ranges from 1 to 12.3% per Wiki.

People always assume bc New Yorkers and what not move here that it’s just a matter of time before it’s blue, but they’ve been moving here for decades now and the state has gotten more red. Sure there are a few people who move and don’t change their voting habits but the majority are moving to get away from that.
Jewish retirees from NYC vote overwhelmingly blue compared to everyone else. They absolutely bring their politics with them. The majority of them are anti-2A progs who support abortion and the Democratic Party. And more of them keep coming every year to South Florida.

I’m born and raised in FL and just about every Jewish person from up north I’ve ever come across votes Republican or tend to be moderate, and some have become huge MAGA people. But I know there are some who are die hard libs. We also have a lot of Cubans is South FL and they’d rather be dead than vote for the Democratic Party right now.
Our last governors race only one south FL county voted blue and the vote was practically split. The only county to vote overwhelmingly blue was Tallahassee area.
Like I said in my OP this migration of New Yorkers has been happening for over 30-40 years, And the state has only gotten more red. I think the Democratic Party going so far to the left has also helped the state get more red. People are fed up.

Leaving California behind for Florida
Makes no sense to me. California has a more temperate climate with fewer big storms, better beaches and surfing, better looking women in bathing suits, and more freedom. Can't understand why anyone wants to leave the Golden State

In FL our property taxes are ridiculous though and insurance is an even bigger problem. But still beats CA.

That’s not what the statistics show.
quote:
U.S. Jews are still a largely Democratic and politically liberal group today, as they have been for decades. Overall, about seven-in-ten identify with or lean toward the Democratic Party, including 68% of Jews by religion and 77% of Jews of no religion. Just 26% of U.S. Jews overall identify with the Republican Party or lean toward the GOP.
LINK
Jews are still much more progressive compared to other ethnic groups. That’s not debatable. The overwhelming majority of them are hardcore NYC blue voters. The ones who do vote red align more with libertarianism and are still pretty liberal on things like abortion and LGBT rights. Just because a few of them vote red doesn’t mean that they have the same political views as a regular conservative.

California was the golden child through the 70s. The children of the surfers and free spirits turned out to be terrible people.

Don't forget to remind that ree ree that CA is setting up to rob anybody who worked, produced, and saved.

I get what you’re saying and those stats are helpful but I’m here in the state and I’m just calling it how I see it. Our last governor election desantis won in a landslide and won South FL easily which hasn’t been done by a GOP candidate in a long time. And we have more people registering for the Republican Party in this state than ever before.
Yeah those people may align more socially with libs on LGBTQ and abortion but that doesn’t seem to be the most important issues to them.
